Wilsons Auctions has supported the fundraising of £24,000 during the National Association of Motor Auctions (NAMA) annual AGM which took place in Portugal in May, with all proceeds going to Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.
The phenomenal amount was raised when members of the association took part in a charity auction following the AGM, bidding on Lots including a case of champagne and a luxury weekend break and the proceedings were in good hands as Ricky Wilson took on the role of auctioneer.
A cheque was presented to representatives from Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital at the recent executive meeting.
Louise Wallis, Head of NAMA commented, “The money raised for Great Ormond Street Hospital will go a long way in helping the children and families served by the hospital which strives to give children the brightest of futures.
“We are extremely pleased with the record-breaking amount raised and would like to thank everyone for their generous donations.”
Wilsons Auctions Director, Ricky Wilson said, “As a member of NAMA I was delighted to have been chosen to auctioneer on the night and help to support this very worthwhile cause in the Great Ormond Street Hospital. It is always an honour to lend our services to charity events and makes it even more worthwhile knowing we have helped to achieve such a fantastic amount.”
