How long have you worked at Wilsons Auctions?

1 year and five months 

Give a brief description of your role

I have varied role taking payments, entering cars onto the system, dealing with customers and vendors and on auction days training to become an auctioneer.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Learning new things about the auction industry, travelling to our branch in Dalry for their Saturday disposal sale has helped immensely in my training to be an auctioneer.

Briefly outline your employment history to date

I previously worked for a Ford dealer as a Service Advisor

What has been the highlight of your career so far?

Being given the opportunity to train to be an auctioneer and selling my first car!

What advice would you give to anyone starting in the industry?

Take any opportunity you’re given.

How do you unwind at the weekend?

Playing golf.

Tell us something interesting about yourself

I’m eighteen years of age with plenty to learn, I wake up every morning delighted that I have been given the opportunity to work hard and feel the buzz of all that the auction business brings. I also once won a Shropshire golf tournament.
