A Car Named Wilson
Wilsons Auctions Telford donate a car to two brothers on an epic journey in a bid to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society.
Wilsons Auctions are staunch supporters of charity work and were only too pleased to help brothers, James and Adam on their quest to Mongolia!
Last week the brothers embarked on a charity challenge which will see them go on an epic journey of 10,000 miles from London to Mongolia. To take them on their journey, Wilsons Auctions, Telford branch donated them with a 2002 VW Polo which they have aptly named “Wilson”.
Their route takes them through Turkey, Georgia, Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Mongolia. Once they get to the finish line in Ulan Ude in Russia, they then have to drive all the way back again through Russia. This is a completely unaided challenge and the only rules of the challenge are that there is a start point, and end point and that you have a maximum limit of a 1.2 litre car. A difficult challenge, but a worthwhile one as they are raising money for their chosen charity, the Alzheimer's Society.
James and Adam explain why they chose this charity; “Alzheimer's is a disease that both of our families have been heavily impacted by. If we can do anything to prevent just one family from going through the same as we have, it will all be worth it.
This is a fantastic charity so if you’d like to donate please visit their Justgiving page or for more information please visit their website www.mongolrowley.com.
Good luck guys!
